Today in SCIENCE we:

• Handed in our three questions from yesterday.

• What did the video have to do with biological diversity?

  Why is biological diversity so important?

  How does this news story relate to our work on the Bow River?

• Handed in our Riverwatch permission forms.
• Read sia9 p92-96 & 477-478.
• Did sia9 p96 #1-9 & 11. Did you format your assignment properly? Name, Class, Date, Proper title? Did you write down the questions?
• Wrote a summary for the reading we did last night, sia9 p479-485.
• Your SAFETY QUIZ will be next week. TUESDAY for 9D, 9G & 9H.
• Did you hand in your vocabulary?
• You were amazing workers today! Great job people! As a result you have little or no homework.
• Review for your lab safety quiz!!!!!!!!!!
• Oh yeah, reveiw for your lab safety quiz. The questions you did in class today will help you!

• HANDED IN OUR RIVERWATCH FORMS? They are due by FRIDAY!
• Did our pre-trip survey for Riverwatch. You will be amazed at the things you learn on this field trip. We will be talking about it all year long!
• Did vocabulary related to Riverwatch. You may take home your vocabulary sheet to work on but NOT your duotang. This vocabulary should be complete by the end of the week.
• Are you keeping up with your homework?

• Worked on a safety worksheet.
• Worked on a hypothesis worksheet, if you haven't already done so, hand it in!
• Got our Riverwatch forms. They are due by FRIDAY.
• Safety Quiz will be NEXT WEEK.

• Did lots of things. If you didn't do this in your particulary class, don't worry, you will!
• got our textbooks, well some of us did.
• Went over our worksheets from Friday. If I didn't see you on Friday you got the worksheets.
• Started vocabulary. You will get it on Monday, it will be due on Friday.
• Talked about Riverwatch. Got our permission forms. They are due on FRIDAY.
• Did some safety.
• Did an activity if we didn't do it on Friday.
• Okay, you will all be at the same point by tomorrow.
• HOMEWORK: Writing Hypotheses, Observations/Inferences, Variables & Safety worksheets & vocabulary.

• Remember: a CONTROLLED VARIABLE is something that stays the same, a MANIPULATED VARIABLE is something that we change, a RESPONDING VARIABLE is the thing we are measuring.
• What is the difference between an OBSERVATION & an INFERENCE?
• Your worksheet on VARIABLES & OBSERVATIONS is due on MONDAY.
• Green forms & 50 cents are now past due.
• WORLD SKILLS FORMS ARE DUE ON MONDAY.

• You need to bring 50 cents for your vocabulary duotang & journal.
