  • Did Current Events. Great work.....if you were prepared. For some of you, 5% of your grade just flew out the window. WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT IT?
  • Talked about the periodic table, how & why the elements are arranged the way they are.

  • Talked about the atom. Can you name all of the parts? Do you know what they do?
  • Started to work on the periodic table. What is it? What does it do.

  • Got Lab Safety Contracts (red paper) they need to be back by THURSDAY if you want to do a lab.
  • Talked about observations. Looked at two unknown substances, what did you observe? What was your hypothesis? What happened when we mixed them together?
  • Did you hand in your observations and hypothesis?
  • Did an on-line activity as a class about PHYSICAL properties. What is a physical property? How many can you list?
  • Homework: sia9 p96 #6, 8, 11, p104 #1-2, 5-7. FORMAT YOUR WORK PROPERLY. This means you write out the question.
  • You would get more class time to work if.............can you fill in the blank?

  • Did vocabulary #8. This is the last vocabulary for this term. Are you up to date? Is it your best work? An easy 5% is up for grabs!
  • Got our marks for our Biological Diversity Unit Final. How did you do? Can you do better? Did you hand your test back in? If not, it is now a zero.
  • Have you checked to see what, if anything you are missing. This week is your LAST chance to do that for this term.
  • Title page for the MATTER & CHEMICAL CHANGE unit is due on WEDNESDAY. You got the rubric for it today, do the title page on the back.
  • What is matter & chemical change about?
  • Check the Current Events Schedule - Especially if you are in 9H or 9A!

  • Did Review Questions. These are questions chosen ESPECIALLY for YOU to help you be successful on the Unit Final Tomorrow.
  • Questions p84-85 # 2, 3, 4, 6, 9, 11, 12, 13, 14, 17, 18, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 26, 29, 32, AND p 86 #44. Did you format your assignment properly? Did you DO it?
  • Species at Risk Project is Due TOMORROW!
  • Unit FINAL is TOMORROW!

  • YOUR SPECIES AT RISK PROJECT IS DUE ON THURSDAY.
  • Notice that there is no new homework assigned. What will you do with this gift of time? Hint: An independent learner would get their project done & study for their unit final, bringing questions to class with them.

Reminder: Homework Help is available in the library EVERY day (except Friday) after school until 4pm. They have tea, computers, and teachers.....use it.
