LAST WEEK WE:

• Had Field Trip-palooza! Kananaskis/Ribbon Creek Hiking, Vertigo Theatre, & Track Meet!
• Did a journal entry about our field trip: What did you do? What did you learn? How did you feel afterwards?
• Wrote our electricity unit final.
• I will let you know what you are missing when I get the bins sorted out.
• Started our SPACE MAGAZINE. It is due Friday June 11, 2010. No late submissions will be accepted.

Tuesday May 25, 2010: We reviewed the criteria/expectations of your space magazine & looked at some examples.

Wednesday May 26, 2010: We were reminded that we might have to share the computers some days, so be prepared to work hard even without a computer & that we will start our Review on Wednesday June 9th, so the last class day to work on our SPACE MAGAZINES is TUESDAY JUNE 8th.

• Talked about the field trip this week. DRESS APPROPRIATELY WITH GOOD WALKING SHOES, BRING WATER, FOOD, & EXTRA CLOTHES.
• Reviewed for our unit final this week. Resistance, Voltage, Current, Power, & Energy, Ohm My.....you know how to do this!
• Did the mini worksheet.
• Had a homework check on pages 323 & 338.
• Did p243 #5-8. Reviewed as a class.
• Talked about section four. It is your CWA all over again!
• Do p363-364 #19-24 will be taken in. #2-18 are bonus questions & good review.

• Saw a current event about electricity. What was it?
• 9D & 9G Current Events tomorrow.
• Talked about circuits & PROPER circuit diagrams or schematics.
• Built a series circuit & a parallel circuit. What types of things did you observe? What sorts of things did your circuits have in them?
• HOMEWORK: draw two circuit schematics, one for a series circuit, one for a parallel circuit. Be sure to use the proper symbols & to make them different from the examples in your textbook.

Last Week Was Kind of a Crazy Week:

• Wednesday we had an assembly with Mitch Dorge. What did you think? What did you learn? He had alot of interesting things to say. Have you gone to his website yet?
• Thursday was kind of like a snow day, but not. We still did work in the classroom. You got an electricity worksheet that shows you how to read a meter, and had a crossword on the back for you VOCABULARY words.
• Friday was parent-student-teacher interviews.

REMINDERS:

• Section 2 Quiz is WEDNESDAY.
• Field Trip Forms are due on FRIDAY. Remember the field trip is part of your program of studies & will HELP you study for the final exam.

TODAY IN SCIENCE WE:
