Today in SCIENCE we:

  • Were reminded about CURRENT EVENTS TOMORROW. Is it your turn?
  • Finished the textbook check. You should be bringing your textbook with you to every class.
  • Did a quiz! Got to use your textbook. Gee, it sure would help if you brought it to class.
  • Continued to work on our Carbon Dioxide Emissions activity from yesterday. You got the data for the second graph today. Make sure your graphs have a PROPER TITLE, & that the X axis & Y axis are LABELLED ACCURATELY!
  • HOMEWORK: finish the activity on p231. You should have ALL of the steps completed, #1-9. Answer any questions on the back of your second graph. DUE MONDAY.
  • On Monday you will hand in the completed activity on p231. This includes: 1 double line graph, 1 single line graph, questions written out with answers on the back of the second graph.
  • Unit Final is still scheduled for NEXT WEDNESDAY! If you have extra time this weekend you should be REVIEWING. Start with the KEY CONCEPTS at the begining of each section. We have done ALOT of work with this unit, it is related to Biodiveristy, Matter & Chemical Change, & RIVERWATCH! You know alot, dazzle us with your brilliance!

  • Did a textbook check. Did you come after school if you did not have your textbook in class?
  • Have moved from WATER QUALITY to AIR QUALITY.
  • Looked at the skill practice on p226. Do you understand the graph about nitrogen oxides?
  • What is a trend?
  • Started the Inquiry activity on p231. You should have completed #1 & 2. We will continue analyzing carbon dioxide emissions tomorrow. How are your graphing skills?

  • What did we do with food colouring & water?
  • Did you bring a drink with a nutritional label? What information do we get? Have a look at some bottled water, do you understand all of the units?

  • Did a PPM worksheet. Do you understand the steps?
  • Can you solve a PPM problem?
  • Homework: sia9 p224 #6-10. You may do this on the same page as yesterday's homework (p224 #1-4, in case you forgot!)
