• Did a DNA extraction lab. Unless you were 9H, then you did a journal entry about behaviour.
• Homework: Answer the questions on the back of the Lab Sheet. Was your hypothesis correct?
• Can we extract DNA from plants? How do you know this?
• Great work today - for those classes that finished the lab! It is remarkable that what you saw today is the material that programs our entire existence!

• Talked about KARYOTYPE analysis. What does that word mean?
• Chromosomes, genes, & alleles oh my! What do those words mean?
• Did a karyotype analysis. How did you put your chromosomes in order? Was your baby a boy or a girl? Did your baby have a normal karyotype? If not, what was the problem?
• Why do we do karyotype analysis?
• Your Karyotypes are due by MONDAY.

• HOMEWORK ALL CLASSES: sia9 p48 #1-6. You may have to do some reading to answer these questions. Don't forget to review your handouts & add notes to it as you need them!

Today in SCIENCE:

• 9G & 9H went to world skills.
• 9G & 9H meet in the back of the Library at 845 am for Riverwatch on THURSDAY MORNING. Make sure you have WATER.
• 9A worked on their Biological diversity title pages & graphing using data from sia9 p13 & 14. You should have 3 graphs in total when you are done.
• 9D did their lab safety quiz, started work on their Biological Diversity title pages, and wrote a journal entry about Riverwatch. Title page due FRIDAY.

Title pages are to be completed on the back of the rubric. Please follow the rubric. Remember you need at least 4 pictures, one that represents each section of the unit.
